A Note to My Collector

Welcome to Your Illuminated Artwork

First, thank you.

When you chose this piece, you didn’t just purchase a work of art. You became its collector and caretaker. It truly means the world to me that one of my creations now has a place in your space.

Every illuminated artwork I create is designed, assembled, and finished by hand in my Santa Monica studio. The LED lighting is not simply an accessory. It is an integral part of the artwork and was chosen to enhance the emotion, depth, and experience of the piece.

My hope is that every time you turn it on, it makes you feel something.

I hope this piece becomes part of your daily life, sparks conversations, and brings a little wonder every time you switch it on.

The lighting components used in your artwork are engineered to provide many years of enjoyment. Under normal indoor use, the LEDs are designed for tens of thousands of hours of operation and, depending on use, up to eight years of continuous illumination. If you want the lights to last longer than that, simply don't leave them on 24 hours a day.

Because every artwork is handmade, I would like to share a few simple guidelines that will help keep your piece looking and performing its best for years to come.

A Few Important Things to Know:

Please check your power adapter before plugging in your artwork.

Your adjustable power adapter is designed to operate this artwork at 10V. Although the adapter is capable of being adjusted up to 12V, it should never be set above 10V. Operating the artwork below 10V will make both your lights and the adapter last much longer. The color of the lights will also show much better when it is set below 10V. Please use only the power adapter supplied with your artwork, or a replacement approved by Victoria White Creates.

When moving the artwork, always lift it by its frame or structural support. Never lift or carry it by the illuminated elements, wiring, connectors, or power cord. Most service issues I see are not manufacturing defects. They happen during moving, installation, transportation, or while reconnecting the artwork after it has been relocated.

If Something Ever Goes Wrong:

Please do not panic, and please do not assume the artwork is beyond repair. Many lighting issues are surprisingly simple. In many cases, the solution is as straightforward as replacing a power supply, connector, dimmer, or plug. These components are designed to be serviceable and can often be replaced without shipping the artwork back to my studio.

Before attempting any repairs, please email me a few photographs and videos of the front and back of the artwork, the wires and plugs, along with a brief description of what is happening. I will personally help determine the cause and recommend the easiest solution. Whenever reasonably possible, I will provide replacement components and help you get your artwork illuminated again without the expense and inconvenience of shipping a large piece across the country.

If your artwork is accidentally damaged, please reach out to me anyway. While accidental damage is not covered under the warranty, I am always happy to help evaluate the situation, recommend the most practical and cost effective solution, and provide replacement parts or repair guidance whenever possible. My goal is always to help you enjoy your artwork for many years to come.

Limited Warranty

I stand behind the quality of my work and warrant the original electrical components against defects in materials and workmanship for two (2) years from the original retail purchase date. This warranty accompanies the artwork and is intended to benefit future collectors as well.

During the warranty period, I will repair or replace defective electrical components resulting from defects in materials or workmanship. Whenever reasonably possible, repairs will be performed remotely by providing replacement components and technical guidance, eliminating the need to return the artwork.

What Is Covered:

• Defects in the original electrical components due to materials or workmanship
• Remote troubleshooting and technical support
• Replacement power supplies, plugs, connectors, dimmers, and other serviceable electrical components, when applicable

What Is Not Covered:

This warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

• Operating the artwork above 10V
• Improper installation
• Use of unapproved power supplies or electrical components
• Power surges, lightning, or electrical faults
• Accidental damage
• Pulling, twisting, crushing, bending, or impact to wiring, connectors, or LED elements
• Damage occurring during shipping, relocation, storage, installation, or removal
• Water, excessive humidity, or outdoor exposure unless specifically designed for outdoor use
• Unauthorized modifications or repairs
• Normal cosmetic aging or ordinary wear

The custom LED lighting assembly is handmade specifically for each artwork and is not considered a user replaceable component. Replacement of the LED assembly is covered only in the event of a verified defect in materials or workmanship during the warranty period.

Your Responsibilities as the Collector:

To help protect your artwork and maintain warranty coverage, I ask that you:

• Verify that the adjustable power adapter is never set above 10V
• Use only the supplied or approved replacement power adapter
• Follow the operating instructions included with the artwork
• Properly protect the artwork during handling, transportation, installation, and storage
• Contact me before attempting electrical repairs
• Provide photographs or video to assist with remote troubleshooting when requesting warranty service

My Commitment:

Even after the warranty period has ended, my commitment to your artwork does not. Whenever possible, I will make every reasonable effort to provide compatible replacement parts, technical guidance, and repair recommendations so your artwork can continue to be enjoyed for years to come. Because technology evolves over time, exact replacement components may not always be available, but I will always do my best to help find the right solution.

Thank you again for welcoming one of my artworks into your life. It is an honor to know that something I created has found a home with you.

With gratitude,

Victoria White
